- Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into thin rounds. Boil for 10-15 minutes until tender. Drain and cool.
- Arrange half of the sweet potato slices in your greased baking dish, overlapping slightly.
- Sprinkle half of the cranberries over the first layer of sweet potatoes.
- Combine heavy cream, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Whisk and pour half over the layers.
- Layer the remaining sweet potatoes and cranberries, then pour the remaining cream mixture over the top.
- Top with shredded Gruyère cheese and breadcrumbs.
