Preparation

  2. Spread the frozen French fries evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour and cook for about 2 minutes.
  5. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of milk, adding salt, ground pepper, ranch seasoning, and cayenne pepper.
  6. Stir in 1 cup of shredded white cheddar cheese until fully melted.
  7. Serve the fries topped with the cheese sauce and any optional garnishes.
