Step‑by‑Step Instructions for BBQ Chicken Thighs in the Oven
  1. In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper to create a flavorful marinade. Coat the boneless skinless chicken thighs thoroughly with this mixture, ensuring each piece is well-covered. Allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes.
  2. While the chicken is marinating, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. Once marinated, arrange the chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece. Brush a generous layer of BBQ sauce on both sides of each thigh.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the chicken for 25–30 minutes. Halfway through, reapply more BBQ sauce to each thigh for extra flavor.
  5. Once the internal temperature of the chicken thighs reaches 165°F, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
