Step‑by‑Step Instructions for BBQ Chicken Thighs in the Oven
- In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper to create a flavorful marinade. Coat the boneless skinless chicken thighs thoroughly with this mixture, ensuring each piece is well-covered. Allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes.
- While the chicken is marinating, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Once marinated, arrange the chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece. Brush a generous layer of BBQ sauce on both sides of each thigh.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the chicken for 25–30 minutes. Halfway through, reapply more BBQ sauce to each thigh for extra flavor.
- Once the internal temperature of the chicken thighs reaches 165°F, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes
Store leftover BBQ chicken thighs in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, wrap and place in a freezer bag. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
