Step-by-Step Instructions for Healthy Twix Bars
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, melted butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Press firmly into the prepared pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix together creamy peanut butter, maple syrup, almond flour, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread evenly over the cooled shortbread base.
  4. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals until smooth.
  5. Lift the caramel layer out of the pan and cut into 16 even bars. Dip each bar into the melted chocolate to coat thoroughly.
