  • 1 tbsp cornstarch optional, for thickening the sauce

  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped can substitute with chives
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by rinsing your shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil. Stir in cornstarch if desired and whisk until well blended.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Allow the oil to heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the shrimp in a single layer to the skillet and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes, turning them occasionally, until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Pour the honey garlic mixture over the cooked shrimp and gently toss to coat.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the shrimp.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately over rice or vegetables.
