  • 14 ounces Caramel Candies or thick caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and gradually mix in the flour.
  3. Press half to two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the pan. Bake for about 20 minutes until edges are golden.
  4. Melt the caramel candies with heavy cream until smooth.
  5. Pour the caramel over the baked crust, crumble the remaining dough on top, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set.
  7. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
