- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and gradually mix in the flour.
- Press half to two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the pan. Bake for about 20 minutes until edges are golden.
- Melt the caramel candies with heavy cream until smooth.
- Pour the caramel over the baked crust, crumble the remaining dough on top, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares.
