  • 1 cup Orange Juice Fresh-squeezed preferred
  • 1/4 cup Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec) Replace with more juice for non-alcoholic version
  • 1 cup Mascarpone Keep at room temperature
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream Chill the bowl before using
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar Sift before using
  • 12-13 ounces Strawberry Preserve Enhances strawberry flavor
  • 2 cups Strawberries Opt for ripe fruit

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine room temperature mascarpone and sifted powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. In a separate chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, about 3-5 minutes. Gently fold into mascarpone mixture.
  3. In a shallow dish, mix orange juice and half of the orange liqueur. Dip each ladyfinger quickly, making sure to not soak them.
  4. Lay dipped ladyfingers in a rectangular dish to form the first layer. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over them.
  5. Add half of the strawberry preserves and a layer of sliced strawberries.
  6. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, remaining mascarpone mixture, remaining strawberry preserves, and final layer of strawberries.
  7. Drizzle remaining orange liqueur over the top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
