Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 5x9 loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, crushed Ritz crackers, beaten egg, and milk. Mix with ketchup, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until just combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan, smoothing the top. Place it on a rimmed baking sheet.
  4. Bake uncovered for about 1.5 hours until golden brown.
  5. At the 45-minute mark, spoon half of the topping sauce over the meatloaf.
  6. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 160°F. Let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  7. Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
