  • 4 Bell Peppers Any color of your choice

  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning Or a mix of oregano and basil

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking dish.
  2. Wash the bell peppers, slice off the tops, and discard the stems and seeds.
  3. In a skillet, heat oil and sauté diced onion until translucent, about 4-5 minutes, then add minced garlic for another minute.
  4. Add ground beef or turkey to the skillet, cooking until browned (6-8 minutes).
  5. Mix in cooked rice and tomato sauce, followed by Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Fill each bell pepper with the meat mixture, packing it down slightly.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; then remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before serving, optionally sprinkling cheese on top.
