For the Coating
  • 1/2 cup Flour Almond flour can be used for gluten-free
  • 1 large Egg Acts as a binder
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs For extra crunch
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Can swap with pumpkin spice

  • 1 tablespoon Nonstick Cooking Spray Prevents sticking

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash the apples thoroughly, core them, and optionally peel them. Cut into fries about ½ inch thick and pat dry.
  2. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked egg and a splash of milk, and one with panko breadcrumbs, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip in the egg mixture, and then roll in the panko mixture until fully coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the coated apple fries in a single layer and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  5. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Toss cooked fries in a bowl with additional cinnamon sugar and serve warm with dips.
