- Wash the apples thoroughly, core them, and optionally peel them. Cut into fries about ½ inch thick and pat dry.
- Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked egg and a splash of milk, and one with panko breadcrumbs, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
- Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip in the egg mixture, and then roll in the panko mixture until fully coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the coated apple fries in a single layer and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
- Toss cooked fries in a bowl with additional cinnamon sugar and serve warm with dips.
