- Wash the apples, peel and core if desired, and cut them into fry-like sticks, about ½ inch thick. Pat dry with paper towels.
- Set up three shallow bowls: 1 with flour, 1 with whisked egg and milk, and 1 with panko, sugar, and cinnamon mixed together.
- Dredge each apple stick in flour, then dip in the egg wash, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the basket and arrange apple fries in a single layer. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Remove fries from the air fryer, allow to cool slightly, and toss in cinnamon sugar if desired. Serve warm with dipping sauces.
