Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash the apples, peel and core if desired, and cut them into fry-like sticks, about ½ inch thick. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: 1 with flour, 1 with whisked egg and milk, and 1 with panko, sugar, and cinnamon mixed together.
  3. Dredge each apple stick in flour, then dip in the egg wash, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the basket and arrange apple fries in a single layer. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Remove fries from the air fryer, allow to cool slightly, and toss in cinnamon sugar if desired. Serve warm with dipping sauces.
