- Cook the chopped bacon in a Dutch oven over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Sauté the diced onion for 5 minutes, then add minced garlic for an additional minute.
- Add cubed potatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Stir in the cream cheese until melted, creating a creamy base.
- Gradually mix in shredded cheddar until fully melted without boiling.
- Pour in heavy cream and mix in half of the reserved bacon. Warm on low for 3-5 minutes.
- Ladle into bowls and top with remaining bacon, shredded cheese, and your choice of toppings.
