- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the pizza dough and flatten it slightly. Cut into 30 even squares, about 3 inches each.
- Cut mozzarella cheese sticks into 30 bite-sized pieces and place one in the center of each dough square.
- Gather the corners of each dough square around the cheese piece and pinch to form tight balls.
- Arrange dough balls seam-side down into a tree shape on the baking sheet.
- Whisk egg and a splash of water in a bowl; brush over the dough balls.
- Bake for 16-18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- While baking, melt butter and stir in grated Parmesan and herbs to create garlic herb butter.
- Brush baked bread with herb butter and sprinkle remaining Parmesan on top. Serve warm with marinara or pesto.
