- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook lasagna noodles until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped yellow onion until softened, about 5 minutes. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned for 6-8 minutes. Stir in garlic, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and parsley. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the egg with ricotta until smooth.
- In a 9x13 baking dish, spread 1 cup of meat sauce at the bottom. Layer with 3 noodles, 1/3 of meat sauce, dollops of ricotta, and mozzarella and Parmesan. Repeat layers, ending with noodles and topping with sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
