Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook lasagna noodles until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped yellow onion until softened, about 5 minutes. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned for 6-8 minutes. Stir in garlic, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and parsley. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix the egg with ricotta until smooth.
  5. In a 9x13 baking dish, spread 1 cup of meat sauce at the bottom. Layer with 3 noodles, 1/3 of meat sauce, dollops of ricotta, and mozzarella and Parmesan. Repeat layers, ending with noodles and topping with sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
