Method
 

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine all-purpose flour, light brown sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground clove, and salt. Stir well to blend, ensuring no lumps.
  2. In a separate measuring cup, whisk together whole milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Gently pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the grated apple.
  4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or vegetable oil.
  5. Scoop about 1/4 cup of batter onto the heated skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form. Flip and cook until golden brown.
  6. Remove pancakes and keep warm in a low oven. Repeat with remaining batter.
